I was never a big fan of smoothies, because I never knew if you should drink them instead of a meal or additional. Either way, as an additional snack they had too many calories in my mind, and as a replacement they never kept me satiated long enough to do until the next meal.
After I tried this recipe, I was surprised that I didn’t get hungry for more than four hours! It kept me satiated and so it’s become a staple in my list of recipes. For one serving you’ll need:
- 150 ml greek joghurt
- 3 tbsp protein powder optional
- approx. 100g strawberries (fresh or frozen)
- sugar/xylitol/stevia optional to taste
- ice cubes optional
I don’t really like a lot of ice in my smoothies, as I think they water everything down if you are not shotgunning it down. Frozen berries can be a compromise, but of course you do you! I don’t use anything frozen in my smoothie and I like it that way.
Just put all the ingredients together in a bullet mixer or food processor and blitz them. Voila – your smoothie is ready to be devoured!
